Most of my travel trough the Rockies I did with Moosetravel. So I was sure to meet interesting people and could see more than the touristic locations, but didn't have to rent a car...The first leg from Vancouver to Shuswaplake was nearly 600km car ride. Our van made strange noises, but only while driving slow. No problem...The nature changed from pazific rain forest to emmentallike hills and around Kamploops finally in dry prairie. Everything looked like in a western film.
We stayed for the night in the Copper Island Inn, a western bar with many billardplaying and beerdrinking locals...The next day almost the whole group went kajaking in Revelstroke. I didn't want to have the problems of creditcardless people any longer. So I checked every financial institute in Revelstroke. Uff, finally my problems were solved. Students, if you're not "kreditwürdig" and need a creditcard, go to cashstore in Revelstroke!;) We headed forward towards the Rockies. Before coming to the HI Alpine Centre in Banff we stopped at the amazing blue Emerald Lake.
